A delicious Local Dining Experience

At Le Prieuré La Madelène, a charming guesthouse nestled in Malaucène at the base of majestic Mont Ventoux, a delightful culinary experience awaits you: our renowned dinner platter. In our 12th-century home, where Provençal lifestyle takes center stage, we invite you to a relaxing evening unlike any other. Depending on the season, you can enjoy this experience by the courtyard fountain, on the large shaded terrace, in the olive garden, under the arbor, or in the vaulted living room.

A Premium Dinner Platter for Epicureans

Whether you are just checking in or seeking a light Friday evening meal, we offer a generous dinner platter, specially curated using the finest products from local artisans who are dedicated to celebrating Provençal food and wine culture.

Once you choose what color wine you wish to sip, explore a range of bottles from our neighboring wineries, including Domaine Talès, Champ Long, and Mas Oncle Ernest, as well as other distinct Gigondas vintages.
Accompany your wine with homemade tapenade and handcrafted crackers that capture the essence of Provence, made by Les Secrets de Lola.

Next comes the highly-anticipated platter, with every cold cut – carefully selected and sourced from a farm near Valréas – bearing the “Provence Pork” quality label. Let yourself be swept away by the rich flavors of Vauclause specialties such as caillette, coppa, pancetta, bacon, saucisson and more. As for cheese, you will relish a selection of goats’ cheeses from Malaucène and sheep’s milk cheese from Saint-Didier, as well as Saint-Marcellin, Picodon, Banon and more, all aged to perfection!

To honor our childhood memories, indulge in the flavors of the Basque country — where Bruno grew up—with Bayonne ham and Ossau-Iraty cheese. Depending on the season, the platters may include fresh zoodles (spiralled zucchini) with pesto and fruits, or in cooler seasons, a comforting homemade soup.

The evening winds down with an organic herbal infusion from Les Tisanes du Dauphin and a glass of the renowned L’Elixir du Ventoux, a Châteauneuf-du-Pape liqueur infused with over 30 herbs and spices. During these unforgettable evenings, every bite and sip tells the story of our countryside and its passionate artisans, who carry on the ancestral craftsmanship of a region where quality and togetherness reign supreme.
